In 2019, we received our highest ever number of suicide related contacts.
Calgary has never needed the support of Distress Centre more.
Our trained volunteers and staff work hard to ensure that Distress Centre remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to connect with people when they need it. This includes our free 24 hour crisis, ConnecTeen and 211 lines, and in-person professional counselling services.
Your gift makes it possible for thousands of Calgarians to receive free support via 24 hour phone, email, chat, text for youth and face-to-face counselling. In your darkest moments, Distress Centre is here for you.
“You are the only person I have ever told about what is going on in my life – how much it sucks, and how I just wanted to end it all. I now feel much better. Thank you.”
